I wish I had some records, but is it safe to assume this will run on modern gas (since it's been restored previously) or should I play it safe and buy some leaded additive?

It's probably got zinc parts in the carburetor and other parts of the fuel system, so avoid ethanol at least. I've read mixed reviews on lead additives on whether they're actually helpful or not.
