the first thread subtitle I tried to use which was too long was “body after body busting out of poo poo wood and hitting pavement”

My favourite sketch from season 2 is the insider trading trial one that closes episode 3, especially this line/moment:

"And then I swear to loving God, he tried to roll the hat down his arm like Fred Astaire, but the backflap got trapped around Rick's wheelchair"

Big load of cum then.

The delivery of this was so good. I also loved “Let’s SLOP EM UP!!!!!!!!” and of course the really upset “I’m not trying to make anyone have their worst day at work, but…..do any of these…..fuckers…..” section.

Also “I can’t even watch a movie anymore without a big pour of wine!…..and popcorn!!”

loving hell I love this show

BEST RECOMMENDATIONS IF YOU LOVE THIS SHOW (IE IF YOU’RE NOT A HORRIBLE PERSON)

- Tim Robinson’s episode of ‘The Characters’, an anthology thing where Netflix basically gave a few comedians 30 minutes to do some sketches. It’s the seventh episode and is basically just like having another couple episodes of this show

- Detroiters, a show co-created by and starring Tim and Sam Richardson (his irl best friend who has played the pageant judges in both seasons of ITYSL as well as been in various other things) that ran for two seasons on Comedy Central in 2017-18. They play creatives at their own ad agency who make low-budget TV commercials and it has a lot of the same energy and is just really funny and good

AV Club’s sketch ranking was awful when it was just season 1 and somehow it’s even worse now. How tf you gonna have Ghost Tour and the insider trading trial so low yet have Calico Cut Pants as the highest-ranked s2 sketch????

s1, just watched the first episode after seeing people talk about how good this was. didn't like it and i like sketch comedy so i was just wondering if it was rough or if that's a good example of the show.

It is a good example of the show but imo it doesn’t have any of the best ever sketches. People love the baby of the year one though

I love John Early but that sketch is definitely one of the weakest ones in the whole show

Sloppy steaks expansion was good, Dan Flashes expansion less so. That one worked better when I was just imagining this chaotic store full of complicated loud shirts imo

Rewatching Tim’s episode of The Characters and it’s really just as funny as any ITYSL episode. If anyone hasn’t watched it you really, really should.

So far this is still super loving funny but Tim might be leaning on the wacky voices a bit and doing them when it doesn’t necessarily enhance the line or sketch but idk that might be stretching for something to say

Ayo Edebiri and Will Forte are great in their appearances. The ponytail sketch is unbelievably funny jfc

Although there might be a couple more duds than s2 (which had a couple more duds than s1) generally like 85-90% of this season continues to be the funniest poo poo I’ve ever seen, amazing they’ve kept up this level of quality without feeling repetitive or like they’re trying to make memes, wildly impressive
