So Christian beats Matt next week, Kenny uses that to justify giving him atheshot at Fight for the Fallen to avoid Hangman until All Out?

It would be funny if Christian became #1 ranked because he beat a name guy while Hangman has been inactive the last two weeks.

Kenny can heel any explanation he wants, do a call he Unamericans and say he only wants to defend against a fellow Canadian. Wouldn’t be the first time a champ got to call their shot against someone not ranked #1.

Clearly anyone who might jump the line ahead of Hangman would be obviously filler destined to lose, but I think Christian of all people would be the most... wasteful? Pointless? Not only that but in character if he was offered the spot I feel like after a long promo insinuating he would kick Kenny’s rear end, he’d say he didnt out work Hangman- and that’s who deserves it right now.

They can fight after Kenny loses to Hangman for, I dont know, the TNA belt.

Yeah, that’s just the first thing I thought of since I don’t think Hangman is going to be the defense at Fight for the Fallen that Kenny mentioned he didn’t have any worthy challengers for.

Anyway, looked like Cash rolled his ankle at the end of the trios match, anyone seen any status update on him?

Obviously most Dark mainstays like Nemeth and his crew are pretty much mostly gone so are they dropping the Peter Avalon stuff wholesale? They really had no choice but it's crazy to think about how much effort was put into wrestlers who were (and are still) completely unsigned like video packages and original theme songs.

Is it obvious? Multiple Dark mainstays people assumed were done taped matches for Elevation, so I think we probably need to give it a few weeks before we get a sense of who is well and truly out.

Full interview from Fightful coming soon, but lol:

quote:

After it was revealed that Tommy End's WWE non compete contract was only 30 days due to an oversight in by WWE, Fightful asked Buddy Murphy about his status. He confirmed that his non-compete is 90 days, but that WWE called him in a panic after his release, thinking that his might also be 30 as a result of what happened with the former Aleister Black. They offered to extend it to 90 days if Murphy so chose, but Murphy checked the details of his deal and confirmed that his non compete is through roughly August 31. Murphy is tending to his visa situation, which he's got the ball rolling on, but will have to have rectified by this fall to stay in the United States.

Based on the results from the tapings, there should be one more tweet’s worth announced if they run everything they taped (unless those matches are going to be omDark).

Pillman is basically a wrestling Golden Retriever, and AEW is probably the best spot for him if he’s going to meaningfully get better. I do think it’s weird they’ve apparently locked down Julia so quickly relative to other women they’ve brought back for Dark, but she does give them the little extra oomph they needed to click as a team.

It's not Cody nepotism points. Do you think when people get out of the performance center onto NXT that's HHH nepotism? It's literally a school founded to be a place to get new young talent from.

It literally wasn't though? It was QT and Glacier's school for a couple years before Cody also wanted to teach so he got brought on as an additional owner and they capitalized on his name recognition to grow the business. And there's a fundamental difference between getting paid to be at the PC than paying $4500 for a 12 week pro wrestling boot camp that happens to get you face time with decision makers from one of the two national TV wrestling promotions.

Also, to be clear, I'm not mad or anything that Julia's gotten this opportunity and understand the sequence of events that got her in with Varsity Blondes, just kind of surprised that they see that level of upside with her, which is based only on what I've seen on Dark/Dynamite. I am at a "Huh, weird, ok" level with this.

I would imagine Archer and Thunder Rosa will get similar shots up in Dallas, although TR operates MPW more around Austin.
