What are your opinions on the brilliant genre known as modern country, please discuss and share your favorite examples. Let's look at the names on this page: Garth Brooks/Chris Gaines Billy Ray Cyrus Sturgill Simpson Kenny Chesney Joe Nichols Alan Jackson Brad Paisely Kenny Rogers Blake Shelton George Strait Tre Burt* Sierra Ferrell* Charlie Crockett James Hand That's a whole lotta single (not in terms of relationship) white men. Pop country doesn't have many band names. Just single white dudes. You have Dolly (excellent) and Reba of course but those are very much the exceptions. *part of the exceptions
