I forgot I had this song in my old music collection and it’s actually really scary. It’s almost Halloween so maybe it’s high time to post some legitimately creepy music tracks. I only have one example, but this one is the best I have. Forgive me. https://youtu.be/vdcUEtKPYQg

Always had a soft spot for this. Space Funeral of all things is where most people will have heard it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7vWLz9iGsk&ab_channel=NameLess

Double Deux posted:Always had a soft spot for this. Space Funeral of all things is where most people will have heard it: Oh man I love Flowers of Evil. Ruth White was a genius and doesn't get enough credit for her contributions to electronic music. Boards of Canada's House of Abin'adab is one of their most unsettling to me. That his house was the place where the Ark of the Covenent was supposedly kept makes the song creepier, but I can't explain how. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfdJMumAB8M Oh and also Soylent Night. It was done under their Hell Interface alias. This song makes me uncomfortable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbeG1XrZPJs I discovered Boards of Canada via this website in like 2005, back when I still lurked and hadn't even registered. Someone suggested the album Geogaddi in a thread very much like this one so I went and bought it. Good times. Another creepy and disturbing song: Hamburger Lady by Throbbing Gristle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fih-xzWGKPA

Yeah I’m not sure if Hamburger Lady to Soylent Night is worse but both are absolutely uncomfortable listens on sound isolating headphones. I think I liked Soylent Night more because there were a few more layers to it but Hamburger Lady made me feel creeped out even though I’m in a well lit office with coworkers buzzing around. So good job!

Carl Orff's last opera, De temporum fine comoedia, has some really intense and unnerving parts. The first time I ever heard it was at this composer's house in the woods way out in the middle of nowhere in Maine. He had this very precisely designed listening room and I sat there with a few people fairly stoned at like 2:00 AM looking out into the woods, it was a little much and my eventual wife was rattled and unhappy for a few days afterwards. Seeing Einstürzende Neubauten brought up in this thread reminded me of it.
