On October 5, AEW Executive Vice President and wrestler Cody Rhodes announced a sister program to Dynamite called Dark, which would be the home of AEW's dark matches. The program began airing on Tuesdays on AEW's YouTube channel on October 8, with the exceptions of go-home shows that air Fridays before a pay-per-view.
