I just got one of these things. Far bigger than I expected, but it isn't uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time, which surprised me. A couple of months ago I dug out my 3DS to play some stuff on it and my hands cramped up rather quickly while holding it - doesn't happen as much here? I went like an hour playing Halls of Torment on it and didn't feel much strain.

I'm constantly confusing the A/B buttons while using menus. I mostly use an Xbox controller on my PC for games but I am so used to the Nintendo button layout from handhelds that my brain automatically defaults to it.

The Diddler posted:

It's been on consoles for years, how have they not added controller support to PC yet?

It was a different time. Obsidian probably did not expect a lot of PC users to care for controller support in a game like that. It sucks, but those decisions were made a long time ago and I think Obsidian had very little to do with the console ports - made by Paradox, I think?

There's still a glimmer of hope - earlier this year, Obsidian finally started updating the game again after years of silence and one of the developers said that while there's currently no plans for PC controller stuff, they are open to it "if the opportunity presents itself".
