We do get to see a bit about how Camilla just sincerely loves her as a second daughter (look how delighted she was to see Vee get a human face of her own!) and you see her take Masha up on that date in the end credits, I'd have loved to see more of that.

Rushed isn't the right word, the whole episode was very lovingly crafted. It's compressed, and there's clearly a whole lot of stuff that could have expanded into entire episodes by themselves if they'd had the chance. They did a good job pacing this well and capping off everything that really needed to be. Also the soundtrack for this episode was incredible.
