I mean, the doctors I saw talking about it said there was no healing, it was a bone chip in some tissue. if the incisions healed, it was just waiting to be pain free (or tolerable pain). So it's possible he could be back in 3-4 weeks. I'd be more worried about Nelson, who needs to drive off his foot.

That sort of thing doesn't always go as planned. After the first preseason game he said that he "realized" that you don't get as many plays in the NFL compared to college. Also, I never had a problem with bringing in Tebow because you really had nothing to lose given the current (and historic) sorry state of the Jags' TE situation. I still don't get why they don't try to trade for Zach Ertz but I expect they'll do something with the position once league wide cuts start coming down. I think they owe it to Lawrence to give him a safety valve.
