For real. Sitting here in New Zealand and I get football all day Saturday and Sunday. Normally games are exclusively played during the middle of my workday.

I enjoyed seeing all the statistics in the 60s for stuff like worst team or most losses, knowing that I was safe from seeing Tampa show up there because we didn't exist yet. Then it hit 1976 and we start popping up in all the graphs as being even worse than Atlanta at their worst.

Jaycee horn has been having a solid camp and is looking the part of at worst a solid starter. Like if his basement is Chris gamble that’s fine.

Terrace Marshall has really been the star of the draft class, though.

It's strange that during the draft I felt really lovely (a lot of which was down to passing over a few players I really wanted in a Panthers uni) but looking at the players now I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years at least half of this draft class is contributing in a meaningful way. Also because of the size of the class that is essentially a full draft's worth of players.

Also I will admit that every time I hear "Panthers' Second round receiver out of LSU" I get brandon lafell flashbacks so seeing him making good hands catches in all of his highlights is a gigantic relief for me.

Thoughts on Part 1 of the Falcons history:

Kinda surprised that Bois and crew didn't mention that the Falcons started as a compromise. The colors were to appease Georgia Tech and Georgia, though the gold (pretty much a stripe on the helmets) was shelved quickly.

+1 for mentioning Dick Shiner. I thought they weren't going to mention the 1973 Saints game after they initially zoomed past with the quarterbacks of the era and Van Brocklin, but they came back to it when making fun of the Saints.

I expected to get the Dave Hampton story and it's always good to hear it.

Part 2 is obviously going to have the rise and fall of Bartkowski, complete with loss to Cowboys in the playoffs. And also Russell Erxleben.

I hope they get into the draft history of Atlanta at some point.

Here's a few clips of Van Brocklin cussing out officials:

Marshall was a stud at LSU he just got overshadowed by Chase and Jefferson.

Yeah I'm kind of optimistic in the way the org is heading. The only thing giving me pause lately is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of Darnold throwing deep routes but he seems to have enough willingness to unleash the dragon anyway maybe they're just trying to rein that in a little. Either way - hoping to see him in live action this game against the Ravens.

If we make the playoffs and retain all the receivers (including Robby) they might have a shot. Team played well enough last year to sneak into a wildcard barring a couple errant kicks. It honestly wouldn't shock me. I also have a really good friend who is a huge packers and Rodgers fan and it would just break his drat heart.

Robby is gone unless he hangs around to ring chase in that hypothetical scenario

But uh DJ Moore will get extended and Marshall looks like the real deal.
