Brady and the Bucs are absolutely 100% gonna come to some new deal/restructure for this season soon. It’ll be incredibly interesting if it’s written to allow Brady to control his own destiny next season or not.

It would be really funny if, despite a much shorter retirement, Tom Brady's "comeback" went as well as Michael Schumacher's

They wasted Luanne on Lucky!

She could of have been so much more but the writers just didn't care!
It would be really, really funny if he won another Super Bowl, retired, and then changed his mind again.

Next year apparently cutting him is only 4 mill against the cap it something so his retirement is already penciled in.

The beat writers are saying his contract was structured around being a TE, so this was apparently in the works even when Peyton was around.

Hmm, between Dalton, Bortles, Winston, and Hill, we might be able to cobble together some kind of Frankenback using unholy rituals and science.

I like Taysom in a pure utility role. He's overpaid but Loomis has never once feared the cap. With the Dalton signing there's a real opportunity to use Hill, and if he's playing TE Trautman isn't.

Now I do not know whether I was then a head coach dreaming I was a Saints fan, or whether I am now a Saints fan, dreaming I am a head coach.

We're going to make them fight.

I mean I guess not. Dalton has guarantees. But historically the team has liked to carry 3 QBs (or more).

Let's see, backwards-

Payton- retired
Haslett- fired
Ditka- gently caress YOU INTO THE SUN YOU loving gently caress
Mora- resigned, but probably one step ahead of the boot
Bum Phillips- weird situation, more below
Dick Nolan- fired
Hank Stram- fired
(from here I had to use Wikipedia)
John North- fired
JD Roberts- fired (lol in preseason no less)
Tom Fears- fired

Bum Phillips essentially held over for a short while after the ownership changed from Mecum to Benson. He offered to quit, but Benson asked him to stay a season, so he did (most of the season). He quit with a few games left, and his son Wade took over as interim.
