Some Guy TT posted:https://twitter.com/hshaban/status/1452444870279315457 yeah TCG finance stuff is insanely hosed atm MTG rather than Pokémon, but a PSA graded 10 black lotus signed by the artist apparently went for over half a million in January this year that was exceptional and about 2x the previous record of $250k, but “normal” ones apparently now retail for like $40-100k(+) depending on condition, and even Collector’s Edition (identical front but different back, not tournament legal) now go for like $6-9k

LGD posted:yeah Pokemon did a good job by constantly reprinting cards, but there are some first edition cards that are worth a lot. MTG finance is just lol, especially since the reserved list exists. People frequently buy out cheap cards on the list and make the price spike. I have no idea what they do with some of these cards as they're completely unplayable in the vast majority of formats.
