For some reason today I'm feeling very excited about professional 0-2 MMA fighter and occasional pro wrestler Charles Montgomery Punk. The summer of Punk in 2011 got me back into WWE after a good six or so years completely ignoring the product. My friend told me I had to look up this late-june promo on YouTube and I was completely worked into thinking it was a shoot. Taped the MITB PPV, and the whole show was decent, but the main event was just superb. Somehow managed to stay interested despite the dire booking of Punk (Nash, texting) until he beat ADR for the title at Survivor Series. It's a shame in 2012 he was not trusted more to headline shows, his matches with Jericho and Bryan as a face and Cena as a heel were great. Genuinely believed he was going to beat Rock at Rumble 13 for the Mania triple threat main event, oh well. I do hope Punk makes his return, whether it be tonight or another show for AEW, as it's the one signing that would make me completely stop reading the monthly WWE threads on here and devote my life to AEW. Inshallah.

What I love about CM Punk vs Raven from ROH Beating The Odds is the cage match was such a mess that they cut the match from over 30 minutes to just 17 on the DVD & ROH really didn't clip matches very often
