Personally mine also has the bigger battery and in my car is a battery eliminator so I can in emergencies run it off Ciggie lighter socket. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it besides listen to police and EMS broadcasts, which are quite entertaining. I bought a huge antenna and a bigger battery, but it can't hit CB frequencies and I can't find any Ham frequencies that are ever broadcasting

Most ham clubs have a specific frequency/repeater they talk on. Sometimes they have organized days where they all sign in and talk. There's a couple of sites you can use to find frequencies in your area. https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?coid=1 etc. Also, if you get the computer cord you can use CHIRP along with your zip code to get your local frequencies pre-programmed. I took 4 or 5 of those and set them to monitor in a loop to find any transmissions, it works pretty good.

After some Auspost pranks (damaging and returning to sender) I have a parcel! A Box of  A nice letter:  Stubby Cooler, already well into operation. I know I'm starting to get old that I notice there's almost a collection of roadhouses on the fridge now...  Some new fidget toys!  Tape BOSS! This is a stupidly functional and amazing little thing. Super smart idea.   SOUND REQUIRED! https://i.imgur.com/rMDSqVe.mp4 And finally a veritable bounty of stickers from all over the place!  Now, on the stickers. Two are actually from my local area. Dobinsons and Superior Engineering. Dobinsons is a local suspension manufacturer, heavily in my thoughts from 15 years ago when they refused to work on my Toyota Sera. Nevertheless, a local company that went gangbusters and international so good on them. They were a gnats dick away from shutting shop a number of years ago due to Ergon raising their commercial electricity tariffs. Would have been sad to see them fold, which luckily they haven't. Now Superior Engineering is a different kettle of fish. I grew up surfing with the boys who own it (if they still do) and the whole extended family are like family to us, even if we don't really talk much anymore. Remember how I posted in the chat thread about my mate who got hosed up by that snake? That's Bill, the old bloke who initially started Superior as a panel beating business when he retired from being an insurance assessor. EVERYONE trusted him as he knew all the tricks of the trade other beaters would pull. Thanks Ferremit! I really appreciate it
