There was a World War One half life 1 mod called the Trenches, there was a 3d modeler called "Terminus" who pointed me over here back in the early 2000's, lurked for a few years then registered.

I think I read the front page a lot after I got tired of fark, and then one day I stumbled across a video of Lowtax talking about the rear end parrot mail list. At the beginning of the video he mentioned that some people didn't know there were forums, and I was like, "wait, there are forums?"

I started lurking around the start of High School back in like 2011-12-ish through discovering it through the Let's Play Archive The Let's Play Archive I had discovered a bit prior through TV Tropes And TV Tropes I had discovered back in 2010 in Middle School when I was listening to songs from the Earthworm Jim 2 soundtrack on repeat on Youtube unrelated (or I guess tangentially related given that SA led me to discovering tumblr through homestuck liveblogs) but spending your high school years on Tumblr and 4chan at the same time is a helluva experience

Travellers would come to the land of Fark, and tell tall tales of the fantastic lands of Something Awful. Sometimes there were held exciting contests and tourneys of Photoshop between the two nations. I started awaiting the arrival of these travellers, eager to learn of this exotic place. Eventually I scraped together enough  coin to board a ship destined for that far away land, and found a new home in the verdant cyan and lilac fields of BYOB. I never returned to Fark.

My brother showed me Photoshop Phriday or something sometime in 2000. Then in high school when there was free time on computers I showed it to my friends and we used to read Cliff Yablonski in class. Then circa 2004-ish I took a graphic design class and showed it to a kid in there and he stole his mom's credit card to buy us accounts. Then after I got banned because the credit card was stolen I bought myself an account after getting my first job

I have absolutely no idea. I turned on the internet, and, whoops, here it was. I think I came for the articles, though. I read the front page, the "pranks", and various other things long before I came to the forum. Probably someone linked one of them somewhere and I saw it.
