Make sure to mention that Nintendo products are like NFTs. People scalp the heck out of the limited stock they decide to put out to the point where most Nintendo products are worth more than RSP and since Nintendo never marks down the prices of any first party or exclusive games, they stay full price until they're collector's items worth hundreds.

The only speed runner I watch is Linkus7 and he said the OLED was saving milliseconds at best so I'm guessing the issues for emulation are just for speed runners and turbo nerds.

I remember playing Halo 2 on the original XBox with a more stable connection than nintendo switch online. Now you don't even need to drophack to get an advantage on Switch online and rage quitting is as easy as just taking it out of the dock

As far as Pokemon goes, Omega/Alpha and X/Y introduced mega evolutions and Sun/Moon introduced regional differences and Sword/Shield had both, kinda but mega evolutions were dumber. Either way most of them were just Gen 1-3 based with a handful of Pokemon past Diamond/Pearl that were paid attention to.

I haven't picked up the GTA trilogy, I didn't get to play them much when I was younger so I have no nostalgia but the rain effects I've seen give me motion sickness or something. Just make me feel dizzy and I can't even watch people playing it. What an awful looking update, was it done by a mobile company or something Anyway, 15 hours into Dragon Quest XI and it's tons of fun. I bought a used copy from Gamestop and it was still $20 more than the X-Box and Playstation versions. c'mon Nintendo

My sister borrowed Dragon Quest XI to "See if she liked it" (she did) and I probably won't see it until around Christmas so I picked up Final Fantasy X/X-2 on sale from Gamestop (And used a $10 coupon so I only paid $10 total for it) What are things I need to know before I dive in here, things I need to remember for later, just general things that will make my life easier?

Detective No. 27 posted:They're great ports. Square flips a coin to decide if a remaster is gonna be good or not and that one landed well. That aside, you might wonder why you can't skip cutscenes, in the event you suffer a game over. Unfortunately the original game's code is put together by gum and toothpicks so they were unable to implement shippable cutscenes. Also the voice acting is awkward at times, partly because the English voice actors needed to make each line last no more and no less than the Japanese voice tracks.

I agree about Undertale, I don't mind games that are cute and quirky as long as they aren't trying to beat you over the head with being cute and quirky and a lot of indie games are going down that route since Undertale got popular

Earlier in the month I got the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass stuff, then I haven't played my Switch since, it's just been off in its case in my backpack I turned it on today and found a bunch of games with complete or nearly complete save data on some of the SNES games. Uhhhh is this normal?

I've run into a really strange issue with my Switch in handheld mode. The buttons will all lock up except for the home button, and when I press that and go back it works again but it's happening every minute or so. I sneezed on my switch but cleaned it off, but maybe not good enough if the touch controls are going off? I'm playing Shining Pearl. Has anyone seen this issue before?

My first time playing DOTA2 I ended up dying to someone with a global ultimate nuke that was killing me before I could even get to lane and my team were flaming me and calling me slurs over voice chat and all I could think about is if this is my first game ever why am I being matched with smurfs or veterans That's pretty much the life of a new MOBA player in everything, you're going to get matched with people on their third or fourth account or people who have played for years and are still somehow so bad they're being matched with legitimate newbies

I couldn't play the demo because for some reason my Switch/internet combo chugs along at a breakneck speed of 10 megabites an hour and there's no way I could've finished the download in the 12 hour window. It took me 30+ hours just to download MLB the Show Weirdly if I go to my friend's place with the same internet provider and speed just a minute or two walk away the speed is fine. I even bought a new router and changed modems from my ISP and it's still the same issue I've had with 3 different switches since launch day I know I could've just walked over there instead of complaining but he's drunk and moody and I'm not gonna stand in front of his place like a psycho for half an hour stealing his wifi

I'd like to try out a new JRPG on the Switch, which games have demos that carry over if you decide to buy them because I'll try those first. I already have Dragon Quest 11 (And I bought it because of the demo, so that's why I wanna try demos again)
