My mother in law and sister in law are about to visit for 2 weeks and they both smoke constantly and it loving stinks. They are going to spend 90% of the time out on the patio smoking and coughing and drinking whiskey and talking very loud and also wanting me to roll them joints and send me to the store for more smokes. They both believe they are clairvoyant and they see ghosts and poo poo and there is a non zero chance they will say a casual racial slur in front of my kid and I’ll have to tell them to knock it the gently caress off. Just trying to mentally prepare myself here.

Is there anyone who smokes or vapes (nicotine) that didn't start at like 11 years old? I've hung around smokers my whole life and that seems to be where everyone picks it up, from family or peers at about that age. I haven't asked the zoomers at work but I'm kinda curious about it now. The zoomers in particular have the "robot dick" hangup but every single one of them I've also seen vaping so idk. Don't worry about whether other people think you look cool while you ingest your drugs! You might as well worry about if you're "eating cool" in the break room or not!

Whenever i'm at the tobacco shop (to drop off something to ship via DHL or whatever) the only people i ever see buying tobacco, are 50 years or older. Same in the supermarket. I've literally never seen someone under the age of 40 or so buy cigarettes. But i know there are definitely smokers in the younger age brackets. If the culture at work is one of smoking and smoke breaks, it's easy to pick up. I know a LOT of construction workers - even the younger ones - smoke, because everyone seems to smoke on the job site as long as it's outside work. Instead of smoke breaks, i just sit on the toilet and scroll through social media for 10 minutes.

I've smoked like three cigarettes in my entire life, and nicotine feels great, and even though I occasionally get the urge to take up the habit since I'm like "gently caress it, I'm almost 40 anyways" I never do because that poo poo's expensive. So is dispensary weed but at least that gets you high.
