it’s the first prong (lol) of so-called radical feminism, without which TERF ideology would collapse. I think it’s incorrect but it’s certainly an idea found within feminism as a broad historical movement

Where do you think those all got the idea from? Most of the people clinging to it also not surprisingly seem to have raging internal self loathing and/or be clear malignant narcissists. Especially the men, given its basically 'I'm a man, I can't help it or control myself' coming from all those woke sexual predators.

That whole meme about women picking a bear over a man is getting really out of hand. I wouldn't mind it so much if literally anyone was bothering to point out that most violence against women is from men they know, and the mere act of asking that question grossly misrepresents how violence against women happens and who is most affected by it.

Would a woman rather encounter a man or a bear in the woods? Overwhelmingly, women replied that they’d rather encounter a bear. Which cis het men responded to very normally, understanding the statistics and danger that they pose to cis het women, trans, and queer people. JUST KIDDING! A lot of men lost their minds with rage and fury, screaming, “WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE A BEAR OVER ME! I AM NO THREAT AT ALL!” Here is my take on the entire debate that no one asked for: If I’m gonna get eaten alive, it might as well be by a bear because at least they know what they are doing.

"are you safer in the woods with a man or a bear" almost reads like a satirical extension of the usual biden or trump problem but the insistence that the bear is actually the superior choice is pretty counterintuitive given how these people generally respond to the other hypothetical

tokin opposition posted:It's not just upper class white women that feel unsafe around men, what the gently caress You're correct, but I can see how the jokey framing of "I'd much rather be violently killed by a wild animal than sexually assaulted, am I right girls? It's makes men so mad when I tell them that!" might not be the most sensitive way to talk around people who have actually been assaulted, and feels a lot like an upper class white woman style out-of-touch-feminism framing of the issue...
