Giving the old double water cooler and a kettle over a gas fire setup a break. With the water cooler’s bottom getting warped, the false bottom didn’t sit flat, effectively making it useless. I could’ve done as some of you suggested and gone with a brew bag in the mash tun, but it’s an insane pain in the rear end to plumb in an option to fit a garden hose for the counterflow chiller. Also, I went ahead and got myself the copper distilling column lid for it, in case I want to gently caress around with that in the future. Today is my first run. All glory to the Grainfather.
