I love the Ultimate stuff, warts and all, and have done multiple rereads of what I can (I'm not going to waste my time on Loeb's stuff). There's definitely some jingoism but it makes sense for a cap who is thawed out post 9-11, plus it fits a world where every single character is a huge rear end in a top hat

Depends on how you feel about European comics. Jordowsky's stuff is pretty niche, it's some good stuff but he's a weird dude. Moebius' art is always gorgeous, though

You know some languages have things like male and female nouns? La Nino vs la Nina, for example. Declensions are like that for lots of different things like case or number.

It's a silly thing to think because there wasn't any "cross promotion". Any movie that uses any military stuff has to have them sign off so that's why the Air Force is credited, but it's not like the movie is about how cool the US Military is. The literal plot is that the militaristic force she's fighting for is actually an imperialistic bunch of invaders and the "bad guys" are just an indigenous population trying to survive. It's not subtle
