Dude wrote a 6 page letter to a fanzine to excoriate them for acknowledging Finger's hand in creating the Joker. So it's not like saying this stuff when he was alive stopped him from doing it, he just doubled down. His loving grave says God was Batman's co-creator. Even Stan never sank that low.
