Ultimate Spider-Man is my go-to recommendation for someone who wants to get into Marvel comics even though I think it's heavily flawed. Having a single writer and artist create an continuous story without interruptions or major crossovers for over 100 issues makes it a great first read for aspiring comic readers, in my opinion.

Rhyno posted:I wanted to thank everyone for the support and positive vibes from the last thread. I had a very rough 4th quarter in 2021 but things have massively turned around. I accepted an offer for a new gig yesterday, not my dream job or anything but a step in the right direction! I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Keep it up!

Chainsawman is extremely good. And congrats to Endless Mike for becoming a chainsawhusband!

Random Stranger posted:With Netflix losing their Marvel shows in two weeks (and giving people very little advance warning), should I finally get around to watching them? Of the series you haven't seen yet, Punisher S1 is the only I would recommend wholeheartedly. Punisher S2 is solid as well, but not a must-watch. Luke Cage is really good if you tune out once the second villain joins the central cast, and Daredevil S2 is really good if you fast-forward past the Elektra bits. I never got around to Jessica Jones S2.

The FaZe Clan/Batman crossover is so funny in a really sad way. I don't think any members of the group even really stream video games or make gaming content any more. They're too busy fleecing their fans with crypto and NFT scams. I guess that wouldn't have made for a good VR storyline.

I'm going to cancel Tom Taylor for being too good at writing comics.
