HM: Vikingo vs John Superstar - AAA 2/20 this takes a while to get going but climaxes in one of the hottest finishing stretches i've seen in this company. the rain probably scared them off a lot of spots and it's ultimately at the low end of HM for me but they definitely sent the crowd home happy on a very mixed show. vikingo is carrying this company and jomo had a great showing in his first match back https://twitter.com/luchablog/status/1495265888588681217

HM: Nodoka Tenma vs Yuki Aino, TJPW Grand Princess 3/19 - this had the classic tag team explodes problem of "we have no singles finishers to tease!!!" but I thought it was really solid. would recommend the Japanese commentary if you're watching later; I like the English commentary on this show overall but they were a bit muddled for this one

WMOTYC The Greatest Clusterfuck - GCW Joey Janela's Spring Break Pt 2, 4/2 the happiest i've ever been to watch such a bad match , a record that will stand at least until AAA's old man tournament starts to be clear this isnt like a workrate complaint because its, yknow, the clusterfuck, it just was just super poorly laid out and booked and not in the on purpose way

MOTYC: Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch vs Asuka - WWE Hell In A Cell 6/5 it's botchy enough i debated giving it the full MOTYC but i was genuinely on the edge of my seat throughout in a way i haven't gotten from wwe at all this year outside of the stunt matches at mania. absolutely going to be a top 10 WWE match of the year; i know that's grading on a curve but that's still better than a lot of the random-rear end dynamite/rampage matches that have pulled MOTYC noms here lol

AEW All Out, 09/04 MOTYC: Ishii vs Kingston HM: The Elite vs Hangman Adam Page & The Dark Order MOTYC: Swerve in Our Glory vs The Acclaimed this show was weird as hell and mostly underwhelming, but the two major concerns I had going in were "Ishii is just gonna show up for a house show singles match at the last minute" and "the tag title match is so underbuilt it's gonna get zero time and no reaction" and holy gently caress I am glad I was wrong about both of those things
