This is Tucker, my 11 year old Australian shepherd. He's going to live forever and you can't convince me otherwise.   This is Stubs, my 7 month old Leopard gecko. I absolutely love this girl, she's the sweetest and funniest little creature.   Here's her tank! 40 gallons.

he's terrified of and quite mean to almost anyone besides my partner and i, to the point where he can't even be sedated by the vet anymore. he was given 2 doses at his last visit and didn't go under. they couldn't get close to him to give him any other shots, even with a muzzle on, because he will just punch them with it. poor guy will probably have to be put down before long because we've taken him to specialist trainers that have said he's probably too old to change at this point, and despite being well managed at home (after years of training) he's freaked out beyond belief anywhere else, and with anyone else  he does indeed steal random trash when he gets bored. but he's loving crafty and an insanely fast learner - we can teach him verbal commands or physical cues in a single session that he can execute at any time after that, when motivated by treats. i love him

It is a terrible fate to have to deny a cat that wants to snuggle.  It doesn't seem to really offend them though, maybe because it's a very cat thing to do.I say "initially" because "cat!!" tends to override "but I don't want allergies" at some point during a cat encounter.

I'm super allergic to cats too but I just take more allergy meds. I can't imagine life without my kitties. I'm going to talk to a specialist about starting allergy shots so I don't have to take pills and eye drops every day anymore.
