Trying to include only proper tag teams and not two guys or factions 1) The Bucks of Youth - Seriously love these guys. Just everything they brought to North American wrestling for nearing twenty years. Matt and Nick Jackson are GOATS and they helped make AEW a great home for tag team wrassling 2) Lucha Brothers - don’t have to say anything other than watch them. Fenix is just magic in the ring. 3) Dangerous Tekkers - what many others have said. Still like AEW tag action slightly more in general but this team is god tier. 4) FTR - great heel tag that are far more flexible in styles than people give them credit for. They have been incredibly useful building up the overall division and that always raises a teams score in my eyes. 5) Suzuki-Gun - almost feels like a cheat as I consider them a faction more than a proper tag team but since you guys are listing: gently caress yeah. The roster and it’s history to the biz gets at least this. Not mentioning other factions as otherwise I might just type CHAOS over and over again. 6) Santana and Ortiz aka PnP - gifted in the ring and out. They were lifted up by Inner Circle at first but slightly constricted by it until now. Glad they are breaking from IC and hopefully the split elevated them to the top. 7) Jurassic Express - RIP Marko Stunt. They have been loving good for a while now. Luchasaurus may be limited but he goes balls out on what he can do. Hope he’s still pals with JB even after he steps back in ring. “Aaaaaaasssssssss!” 8) Kings of Black - new to AEW so mostly going off history. Take two scary dudes, mix in some metal and have them break people between Malakai giving spooky promos. Malakai’s song is so much better and that counts. Give them more time and push and they will go up. 9) 2.0 - Take two gifted québécois douchebags and let them loose. Gifted in ring and on the stick they are perfect as those assholes you love to see the faces beat. I really love these guys so much and glad they adopted Garcia so they can give to the next generation. Some people might bitch about midcard but heels willing to eat poo poo is even more important to make good guys look good plus when they win people get so mad. 10) New Day - semi faction/trios but they are also a dedicated tag team. Skilled in the ring but somehow managed to not only stay semi together but make a ton of fans and money in a company that HATES tag teams and friendship in general. That is worth some serious points. The last wwe show I went to was for them and they somehow still get big pops in modern dead rear end wwe, where hardly anyone does. Hoping one day they get to another company and just shine. 11 - reDragon - I know top ten but I didn’t want to shunt these guys to H.M. These guys have been trapped on NXT for a while but they are good with tons of history with the Bucks and AEW. You have no idea how good it’ll be. Sleazy Kyle is the best kind of disturbing and when they get the belt? Hahaha. Wait a tic for this H.M. Factions Dark Order - two or three tag teams (TayJay count?) that have help build AEW since the beginning and played into the rise of their current champion. Silver and Reynolds rule and only reason they weren’t in was history with reDragon. CHAOS- super faction that led to a bunch of insane teams for years. But if you include factions just copy and paste CHAOS with Suzuki-Gun and one mention of Bullet Club. Two dudes having fun Moxley and Eddie Kingston - sometimes you get something just perfect. History, in ring, promos, the works. This is Moxley and the Mad King. Are they current tho? Jesus loved seeing these two clown fools. Just please let these two do something every once in a while. Sting and Darby - they brought back STING?!? They gave Sting all the love and respect we wanted for YEARS and he gets to finish up his ring time mentoring a new generation and sending the crowds home smiling? Just loving happy times all around.

Entirely active only in 2021 Yeah that was more me snubbing two guys teaming up as opposed to a dedicated tag team but Mox and Kingston absolutely have a history on why they team and worked together with a tag finisher. They were kicking rear end all through 21 and sending people home happy and challenged the belts l. I just have a preference for teams that specialise in tag teaming like the Bucks or Lucha Brothers as opposed to two singles guys teaming up probably due to years of wwe poisoning. If guys started as a team in the big leagues (see Hart Foundation) I never mind it but the Vince pattern of two “real” guys forced to team beating guys who that is THEIR specialty always annoyed me. Mox and Kingston rule

1. Jurassic Express (AEW) - Feel good story of the year. 2. Proud and Powerful (AEW) - These guys should be multi time champions in every promotion on the planet. 3. 37KAMIINA (Takeshita and Ueno) (DDT) - Two of the best young wrestlers to ever do it, almost better as a tag than as singles guys, and astonishing as singles guys. 4. Silver and Reynolds (AEW) - Other tags are more spectacular, but nobody teams together as well as the beaver boys. 5. Neo-Bishiiki-Gun (TJPW) - I can't not vote for French aristorcacy 6. Bakuretsu Sisters (TJPW) - I can't not vote for the Tiny Steiners, especially as this is my last chance. 7. Best Friends (AEW) - Part wholesome lads, part brutal violence merchants. Love them. 8. Dangerous Tekkers (NJPW) - Just a couple of really good lads. 9. Young Bucks (AEW) - I can't deny how exceptional they are at tag team wrestling 10. Haoh and Nioh (Noah) - an astonishing junior heavyweight team, confined to oblivion by Nosawa's booking. HM: West Coast Wrecking Crew (New Japan Strong) - just a great versatile team

Tabulating the scores and making the graphics took way more time than I anticipated, and that's with fewer lists and shittier graphics than Jerusalem had for the favorite wrestlers thread, so I have a new found appreciation for all the hard work it took to make that list.
