A Ukranian at a UK demo who still has family in Ukraine said that food is running out. Shops are empty and supplies aren't getting through, and in areas without fighting there are huge numbers of displaced people arriving who have nothing.

It's illegal for UK citizens to fight in a war that the UK isn't officially participating in, so you could read her statement as a declaration of war with Russia.

There were a couple of close calls with nukes during the Cold War and every one of them was stopped by a Soviet officer choosing to ignore orders to launch. Even if the rumours are true and a terminally-ill Putin has decided he would like to take everyone with him when he goes, I have a glimmer of faith in the armed forces not to be quite so stupid. Assuming Russia still has functioning nuclear weapons.
