I played a pbm wargame in the 80's and we had a role roleplay news letter that we used to sling poo poo at each other. That was sort of (anti)social, and it was media. The real brain worms set in with smart phones and easy access, and the interweb stopped being the fastness of porn, geeks and nerds. Not to say we didnt have our own issues, but...
