Yeah, I think "we're hosed" is too simplistic an answer. My gut feeling for a while has been that all this poo poo will continue until some kind of too-obvious-to-be-denied tipping point galvanizes the people and forces widespread systematic change. That might be a civil war, it could be Miami becoming uninhabitable due to climate change, or maybe it'll just be the gradual continuing radicalization of everyone younger than 45. Basically, all our systems were rickety to begin with and now they're falling apart. Get to know your neighbors and be ready in case things go the rest of the way to hell, but the accelerationists and keyboard warriors aren't too likely to get what they want.
