In Round 5, WWF went in with 5 and are now down to 3.

WCW went in with 7 and are also now down to 3.

ECW went from 3 to 2, mainly because of an ECW vs. ECW matchup in there.

AAA is gone.

When the tournament started, WWF had 80 PPVs, WCW had 90, and ECW had 13. Now things have been whittled down to being almost even with 3 vs. 3 vs. 2.

how many times did wwf and wcw eliminate one of their own ppvs overall? might be interesting to compare the two. just kidding. i don't want anyone to sit and figure out that sort of information. if anyone knows off-hand please post it but don't look into it. i don't want anyone to do messed up work. But if anyone knows let me know.

Yeah, the disparity in quality between the Rumble match and the rest of the card is really striking.

With WMX, there are two bona fide classics on the card (Bret v Owen and the ladder match) and while the rest of the card struggles to live up to that standard, it's generally a pretty crowd-pleasing affair. Also, Luger being a dumb poo poo IRL and in kayfabe is never not funny.

I think you're confusing the Canadian Stampede main event with something else. The Harts vs Austin and Friends is an all-time classic.

Edit: just realised you were referring to the HHH v Foley match. It's good, and it builds to their match at SummerSlam. Canadian Stampede is so much the better show. It's short, every match is a banger, and the main event is an all-timer. What's the issue?

I'll defend Shane Douglas in Heat Wave but no chance i'll defend the Barely Legal match, it loving sucked. It should have gone like a third of the time with Pitbull beating the poo poo out of Douglas in revenge for Shane breaking his partner's neck, then Douglas cheating to win. 20 minutes of boredom to follow up the M-Pro showcase makes it feel even worse
