Speaking of Nato - how likely is it that Finland and Sweden are joining up now?

Remember when the European Commission threatened to kill the Bush presidency over tariffs, getting the States to back off?

It's a rather common mistake to underestimate the EU. The whole structure is very much unconducive to cowboys. There will be deliberations, consensus, agreements, and a knife to the throat.

In the first round of the Trump trade wars, EU retaliated with tariffs aimed at companies inside district represented by ranking Republicans.

I'm also Dutch-speaking, but from Belgium, and "de Oekraïne" doesn't sound that wrong to me.

So am I, but it does. Don't think there's any country with an article without an explicit koninkrijk/kingdom or republiek/republic in the name (and even then you'd need to be dragging it out to "the islamic republic of Iran" or "the Russian kleptocracy").

Anyway, the definitive way you can tell if a country is in Europe, is if they are in the Eurovision Song Contest.

This is how people mistake australia for austria.
