What's really whacky is even Japan didn't get this Type R, being that the CH1 Accord was Europe only. At the same time, Japan instead got the CL1 "Euro R" - same drive train, different chassis, although somewhat similar looking front end.  Next came the CL7 Euro R. The US got this body style as the Acura TSX. In Euro R form it now came with a K20 with 217hp. (The most powerful K24 maxed out at 205hp in the 06-08 RSX for comparison). I still think these are great looking cars and drive really nicely. Classic Honda FWD goodness but nicely refined too.
