I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around an iPhone not having a back button. Apps are not usable without them. If I go to one page and I want to go back to the previous page, I hit the back button. I couldn't operate the app otherwise. As another poster said, the back button is definitely my most used button. Can someone explain this to me. I literally have no idea how the phone would work without a back button.

I just got an iPhone XR for work and couldn't work out how to turn the loving thing off. Turns out you not only have to hold the power button, you have to hold the volume button as well? Then do the on-screen slider. How does that make any sense?
