Pale Rider is basically BD 2.0 so I can’t imagine it showing up except maybe as a legendary skin or such, sadly.  Which is honestly something I wouldn’t mind, lemme play as a Flag reskin for the asshimmar or something.

Yeah. Like we already have the G3 and Char's Zaku 2. Some of them would be rougher like converting the DOM Trooper to the UC Doms since they don't have a combo bazooka but for a lot of the grunt suits at least I think it'd be a way to get folk's niche faves in without having a billion nearly identical characters.

Barbatoss really does need limited in some way. Make it so it can't store a charge forever, make it so it can't boost while charging, remove the stun on full charge, something.

On the other hand virtually every mobile suit has a beam saber so it feels really hosed up to have no melee option on most of them.

If they don't nerf Barbatos somehow I can't see myself playing this at launch. EDIT: Seriously, 'melee only' is not that huge a drawback when every objective so far is 'king of the hill' or 'defend a bomb site from planting or disarming', and on top of that it has some of the best mobility in the game, can hold its insane damage stun at charge forever with zero mobility impact, and has a built in easy as pie combo to get a guaranteed kill on anyone it ambushes, while also having solid HP. If someone playing it is at all skilled then the match becomes almost entirely 'can your team focus it down while it dashes in and instantly frags before it dashes back out' Kitfox88 fucked around with this message at 02:07 on Apr 12, 2022 |

Barbatos has that issue where if you’re good and know how to play it you become able to drastically impact the entire match to a pretty uneven level, whereas if you aren’t really good you basically just get caught and die without accomplishing anything. Not too surprised it’s got the highest polarized responses. DOM Trooper was fun though I wish the laser wasn’t so pidly tiny

There's a variant that uses a beam rifle but it more or less needed a half mobile suit sized cooling unit to hook up to in order to fire it more than every few minutes.
