From 1989 to 1995, there was a show on the CBC (and on HBO and, later, CBS in the United States) that has been described (by themselves) as comedy's Sonic Youth - The Kids in the Hall. Like Sonic Youth, they have a smaller but nonetheless dedicated following than other groups. Unlike Sonic Youth, however, they're BACK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zm2rAjmH_JQ (there's also a red band trailer) Eight episodes will debut on Prime Video May 13th, and a new documentary, Comedy Punks, will debut a week later on the same service. Until then, let's argue about whether that movie you saw last night was Citizen Kane or not.
