Spare batteries are pretty key.

hot tubs are disgusting cesspools of bacterial breeding grounds that require meticulous care and attention constantly checking pH level, replacing ozone generators every 3 days, and dumping a bunch of chemicals to make it habitable and if you try to gently caress in them everyone is getting a UTI and staph infection.

but god drat they are nice as hell in the winter like sitting outside in a hot tub in the rain is great. completely loving grotesque wasteful americana consumption though.

in other words, your fiance is smart as hell, put a ring on it.

Get a sauna instead

There’s also the practice of just leaving in super racist clauses in house contracts. So the conversation will be “oh this says that selling to *insert racial group* is banned but don’t worry that’s not allowed any more. They just have to include it because it was in the original racist contract” for some passive aggressive dog whistling.

Nice. It's illegal to ban you, but we can still tell you you're not wanted here.

The first time I was house shopping, in 2017, there was a house on a half acre somewhere in east Denver that was just a basement with a roof and a couple of detached sheds.

I think it was listed as built in like 1920

I remember it being close to some big power transmission lines, so I wonder if there's a restriction on building size.

Denver has a law that you can only Airbnb out your primary residence.

I don't know how effective they have been.
