i really want to meet a person with synesthesia so i can ask them about this, and also i wonder if when a person with synesthesia first encounters a stimuli if there is a relationship between the spectrum of sound/colour perceived and the stimuli that are producing them. like if bitter sounds produced a yellow colour and sweet produced a blue colour would bittersweet tastes produce green, or are the connections more random.

anyways some people can smell colours and i am just now being made aware of my rigid adherence to british spelling thank you for reading my tedtalk

I've always associated numbers (single digits) with colors. Like, to me the number 7 is yellow. 2 is blue. Not sure if that's like mild synesthesia or just something silly.

I want to smell jade (the color). part of me thinks is should be very herbacious (because of the green) or maybe partly citrusy like a lemongrass, but its use in dragon sculptures makes me think it might smell musky and a bit intoxicating.
