I think I read about ikari and psychicattack because I wanted to figure out why they were making GBS threads up every drat GBS thread by constantly only posting little chats to one another. Eventually there became a forum rule where if they posted in the same thread they got banned, so they had to coordinate their poo poo posting.

Oh gently caress i have a story about this concept. Back about 12-13 years ago I had a business doing iphone apps , was kinda the first guy in my town doing them so it paid pretty well. Anyway I get a guy who contacts me offering me $5K to do an app. Normally I'd turn down an overture only paying that much (I was making about $4K a week pre tax, and an app really needs a few weeks work so my quotes tended to be $10-20K) , but this was simple. He wanted an app that turns the phone into a mirror. I quoted a week and spent a day throwing together an app that just showed the camera back through the app and flipped it left to right to match what a mirror does and met up with him to get approval to procede from there. He pulled out a lazer pointer and tried to bounce it off the screen and said "This isnt a real mirror! I want an app thats a real mirror!". I tried to explain that a true mirror isnt possible, but a camera mirror would work just fine for his stated purpose , a mirror for people to apply makeup with. He was really pissy about it and said the contract was cancelled and he'd find someone who COULD make the phone into a mirror. I billed him $1K for my time as agreed in the contract and had to refer it to my lawyer when he refused to pay. He paid in the end and came back apologising wanting to continue but I didnt want *anything* to do with that degree of crazy.
