I had enough credits and boosters to split the season pass variant and just didn't. Because it sucks. I split the base card instead.

War Machine isn't Thanos or Hevo level, he's Annihilus level. Annihilus lets you add Hood/Sentry/Annihilus to some other bigger shell. War Machine lets you do the same with Maw/Infinaut. even better if you have an energy ramp like Hope.

If you have ~6k tokens, I would not recommend spending them on War Machine. He doesn't seem bad, but there's no sign of him being a mandatory meta card and even if that changes, he'll come around in your shop again.

Just learned that if Blob eats Thanos while all the stones are out, Blob gets 10 power from Thanos (i.e. not powered up Thanos, even though Thanos gets that power no matter where he is) but also then stops eating cards as if he hit his max.

I'm not sure what tokens are for if you're mostly collection complete. I had 6100 tokens and 9 keys but already have Silk and Silver Samurai, so I spent the tokens since nothing else is coming out as a Series 4 card it seems. I'll probably skip Red Hulk and then spend keys on USAgent's week since Mirage is the only Series 4 card I don't own.

Tokens are for stockpiling if you're mostly complete. I'm up to like 20k and I've always got enough keys to get the cards I want. Might buy Martyr and play C5

Is it dumb as hell to spend Collector tokens on "random 3 series drops"? Every time I get ruined by another Hazmat deck I'm sorely tempted (and occasionally have) pulled the trigger on the RNG just in the hopes of getting Luke Cage, but then I had the thought maybe by buying S3 cards via this method, I'm increasing my chances of lovely skins in the Collector Boxes I get through level up, as the boxes may have otherwise contained those same S3 cards. I hope that made sense, it's a messy and obtuse system I just want Cage

I've been Series 3 complete for a long time, do they still rotate a Series 3 card through the shop every 8 hours that you can pin? I definitely wouldn't spend tokens, which are pretty hard to come by, for a random S3 card that has a good chance of being bad

Unless you're spending mad cash, it takes about two months to accrue the 6k tokens required for a S5 card. The ability to pull the trigger on a precious S5 meta staple once you're S3 complete will be much more valuable than what any S3 card can offer you right now. On top of that, Hazmat is not a very common card. Losing to her might feel bad, but recency bias is not a good motivation for spending resources.

Thanks all, I'll try to keep the rage tempered and hold out for the big prize I've been having pretty good luck with my key pulls recently, but that could well change and should really start planning for longer metas. I'm only CL2000 so I guess it's still pretty early days.

The game concept is really good but recently everything else from the UI to ongoing development to customer interaction and feedback loving sucks. Ben Brode stepping back from community engagement and his lead Co design leaving altogether is a sure sign they're destined for the expected f2p hamster-wheel dog poo poo every other game in the market aspires to.
