ARR is pretty standard errand-boy RPG plotting and if you're alright with that it's not bad barring a few plot beats, though it also really helps if you're an MMO baby and everything is novel for you.

Elden Ring lets you explore plenty without making any progress on the critical path at all. If there's any issue there it's how often what you'll find is a boss pasted from elsewhere in the game into a tiny uniform arena.

ER's not nearly that bad but trying to solo melee bosses can feel pretty overwhelming and while you certainly don't have to do that, using summons and spells often feels like you're not really engaging them at all.

the atelier collections are pretty expensive on console but even moreso on steam for some reason. there's also some early-gen gust games that KT forgot about so they're just $60 forever.
