Just remembered the time I made myself a taco salad and absent mindedly put uncooked chorizo in it. I still ate it though because I didn't want to waste food and nothing bad happened.

This thread caused a memory to bubble up: Stayed at a friends house for dinner when I was in high school and their father sat at the head of the table and served everyone and you could ask for more once you had completed the portions on your plate. Also everyone mostly whispered it was fuckin bizarre. I was like 17 with a job and a car and was treated like a child. I ended up eating a Gyro after because I didn't want to keep asking for small portions. That's just how they did dinner.

One of the grocery stores decided to have a BBQ place inside. When they opened they were great. I would get a brisket sandwich with sauce and two sides for like $10. I went a few months later and they had taken everything off the menus except for the BBQ, no sauce, nothing. I hit the Taco John's next door.
