People want to be paid a living wage and corporations agreed because there was a worker shortage due to all the boomers retiring, then the corporations immediately raised the price on everything as an FU to the workers for refusing to be treated like slave labor.

60 eggs (cage free white grade a) 13.99

Boston metro area, not noted for cheap food, but I guess we are doing ok

Milk: $2.99 / gallon, up from 2.49, where it's been for years

what your saying here is the USA being a socialist state caused global problems.
Fox News was right for all the wrong reasons

I don’t think the stimulus spending had anything to do with socialism. Also hand waving away inflation as some sort of republican conspiracy is just stupid. As I posted earlier, inflation is hurting the poor most of all. You know, those who don’t own homes and stock portfolios. Those who might actually have to worry about the costs of food and gas.

Inflation hasn't really started for me / my family

Obviously we aren't alone in this but our net worth has vastly outpaced inflation, and it doesn't really look too good for normal people because while some are struggling to eat / gas up cars, this has been a massive net positive personally in that regard

I would advise a revolution, it's been kind of interesting watching the two sides of the world play out

E: I just wanted to say that because basically the poster above is absolutely correct. We were already doing quite well before the last few years, but these last half decade or so... It's all but insured that financially, it will pretty much take the end of American society before we have an issue

I pretty much assume that this is by design

The first thing I would do is stop voting or assuming you'll change things by voting for a different color/animal of millionaire

Also the $6 for Dave’s Killer Bread. It’s OK bread but it goes bad like minutes after you open the bag. Every bag I’ve ever bought of DKB I’ve had to throw out within 2 days because it instantly starts to mold.

Yeah, keeping a few months worth of staples is always a good idea. As long as I cycle through it, it might save my rear end someday.

As someone that's been pecked by a chicken, gently caress chickens. They can live in cages so I can eat their offspring as cheap as possible. But I did end up with more expensive eggs today because they only had cage free brown eggs.

How slow at eating bread are you? 2 days for a loaf is such a long time.
