DCS World is a flight sim with modules, individually purchased planes that simulate various helicopters and fixed wing aircraft of mostly the modern era. The game includes non-flyable AI assets, and tons of ground units of all kinds. Game requires a lot of patience, as these airplanes are started manually with each system modeled, and the nerds that fly them click the buttons in the cockpit to achieve what they need to do. The sim is good enough to be used by real air forces for training for planes, such as US Air National Guard for the A-10, and the French Air Force for the Mirage 2000. Our players will talk on the radio channels with air traffic control and air battle management, and they will use different channels to communicate with their wingmen. Each flight will have its own objectives as part of the package, and the flight leads will write up their plan before game day, and after the game, their after action report. Each days’ game will probably last about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. We’ll stream it both from the perspective of a pilot, and from the air battle manager station’s radar screen. Does it sound complex? It is! But it’s a lot of fun. We hope to attract the interest of non-plane goons and are more than happy to explain terms and describe what we do. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, and we look forward to sharing nerdery in this thread or the Discord. How will this Let's Play work This mercenary campaign will be thread interactive. The thread will vote to choose what missions we are hired from and by whom, you will also vote on which player or flight will get bonuses based on anything cool you think they did. Players playing in this campaign will be given a $20 mil Fund to start, with this fun they will be buying and maintaining their planes, and/or helicopters. They will all get a cut of the mission pay out, however some will earn more if they use older less efficient weapons like bombs with no guidance, rockets, or gun pods. If a player loses their plane they get 1 free backup before they have to buy a new airframe. Players will also be able to buy and upgrade to new airframes over time, like if they start with an old Mig-21 they can save up enough to buy themselves one of those brand new F-16's that flies itself. Background The year is 2028 and the world governments have fallen apart and weakened, Corporations now wage war on each other and anyone who gets in their way. During this time mercenary corporations have become the main forces in most conflicts. Enter the 420th Airgoons a group of wannabe pilots who saw their flight sim experience as a way to make a buck. The first group is the mega corp everyone loves Disney. Disney has hired us to attack Warner Bros main hacking center based in eastern Europe in retaliation to Warner Bros hacking the US and EU govenments and setting the copyright for Mickey Mouse and Co. as Warner Bros copyright. They are paying us 20 million with a 5 million dollar bonus to rescue a board member who's plane was shot down by Nestle while flying near a Nestle facility. The second group to hire is the local citizenry who are tired of Nestle destroying towns and villages in order to build more water bottling facilities. they are paying us 10 million to destroy a large armored force that's preparing to move and attack some of the nearby towns as well as a bottling plant.  Our intel division,  , Has learned that Nestle's armor will be protected by Rolands and lots of AAA, with Gudata and sukhumi being protected by NASAMS they have also received intel on enemy air assets at gudata and sukhumi, with some bizarre combinations we pictures of parked A-4E's Bf-109's, Mig-19's and P-47's  we are also getting reports of Warner Bro's hiring Bombers to attack our base, Make sure to send up some interceptors

 Mission Briefing Good morning Pilots today at 1300 hrs we will commence Operation Goof Troop. Today will be chilly at 0c with scattered snowstorms and no wind, cloud base will be starting at 16.4 thousand feet. we will have 3 main objectives, Destroying the Nestle Ground Forces, rescuing the VIP, and destroying the WB HQ Flights will be assigned as follows SEAD Paladin JF-17's Buzzcock F-16's CAP/Intercept Warlock J-11's Mage F-15C's Stingray F-14B's Ground Attack Porkchop A-10's Cleric A-4E-C's Beer DH-28 Mosquito's Golem F/A-18C's We have just received word from the locals regarding Anti-Air threats in our Area of Operations  3 Roland ADS and their EWR radar are in the vicinity of the town of Bzyb', Rolands have approximately a 5 nm launch range stay on your toes  Gudata and Sukhumi-babushara are both confirmed to have NASAMs sites in the middle of the airbases, there are also secondary reports of Chaparrel's guarding Sukhumi as well   There also also reports of old WW2 German Flack 88's and a few M-163 Vulcans near the VIP's last known Location  Finally for Emplaced SAMs there is a SA-6 Kub at Senaki-Kolkhi  The WB HQ has been reported being covered in AAA with a rumor of a single tunguska in the area.

Post Mission Debrief and Payouts Good Morning Pilots, We will start this debrief by saying there will be no court martial, the shareholders have reviewed the HUD tapes and concluded there was no intentional wrong doing from the pilot of the J-11A. Disney is extremely happy with us, so much so that they gave us an additional bonus and are looking forwards to hiring us again. The locals however aren't as happy while we did stop their attack and push Nestle's plans back, we have negotiated with the locals and will be going for round two with Nestle. Each pilot has earned 2.4 million dollars from this mission Bonuses F-15C pilot Herp will be getting a 1.5 million dollar bonus for dancing with SA-19 missiles that were shot at them, causing all of them to miss while the Pilot had no awareness they were even being fired at them. Gazelle pilot Muhlump\mlmp08 will be getting a 2 million dollar bonus for his ninja like reflexes dodging ATGMs as well as his incredibly sneaky pickup of the VIP, the enemy didn't even notice the VIP was gone for another two days. The VIP is also wanting to give the pilot an Extra $500k for the airshow that was put on during landing. Hind Pilot Darkoff will be getting a $500k bonus for figuring out a way to have R-60's become ATGM's by having them lock onto an AT-9 and chase it into the side of a tank. Hind Pilot Arbitraty will be betting a $500k bonus for killing some Flak 88's A-10 Pilot Malakesh is getting a 1 million dollar bonus for destroying a Roland Shorad system with mavericks during the terrible snow and fog. A-10 Pilot FatKao is also getting a 1 million dollar bonus for destroying Nestle Artillery before it could level one of the local towns. F-16 Pilot DeadSeed has earned 5 million dollar bonus for taking out the NASAMs so quickly as well as taking out both Nestle's and WB's Early Warning Radars with the one killing WB's radar being a 50 Mile Shot F-16 Pilot BurntCornMuffin has earned a 2 million dollar bonus for taking out all the Search and Tracking radars the enemy had Both F-18 Pilots will each get a $500k bonus for destruction of the target with no collateral damage. F-18 Pilot Prime will be getting an addition 1 million dollar bonus for killing a AAA site with the same bomb that killed the WB Tech HQ as well as killing a Mig-25. J-11 Pilot Prawned will be getting a 2 million dollar bonus for taking out the Warner Bros AWACS callsigned as RedEye. J-11 Pilot Mad Dawg will be getting a 1 million dollar bonus for killing most of the bombers. J-17 Pilot Xeno will be getting a $500k bonus for damaging a P-47 and taking out NASAMs launchers. F-14 pilot ARAGORN will be getting a $500k bonus for taking out enemy bombers.  Good afternoon everyone. The upcoming operation hereby called Operation Black Beard, will be a tough one. We are finishing out our contract against Nestle, intelligence has informed us that nestle is gathering what remains of their military and mercenaries at Krymsk and Krymsk airbase, rumor has it the CEO and the top two military leaders are there and will be boarding some helos there to oversee their upcoming operation. our job is to take them out if we can. I have heard rumors of a very large bonus for the pilot or pilot\gunner whom takes out the CEO and VIPs.  our other mission objective is to destroy Nestle's navy at Novorossiysk. we can do this in two different ways we can sink every ship at the harbor including those docked, or we can steal three of the docked. through our informants in the city we have learned that three of the ships will be empty this weekend as their sailors are going on shore leave, if we land some of our own sailors near the port we will be able to steal the ships for ourselves and use them to take out the nestle navy.  This is our Area of Operations  Air Threats Nestle has upped their airforce technology wise, gone are all their WW2 prop planes. We have confirmed a bulk of their forces are MiG-19's, MiG-27's, A-4's, and L-39's. we have unconfirmed reports that they have hired a small merc unit called Kronus they are known for flying F-16 Block 50's Ground Threats we have pictures of at least 2 SA-15 Tor units at Krymsk and possible more in our AO  we also have reports of at least 10 Pivads near Krymsk  and a few ZSU-57-2 at the port  Packages F/A-18's will be doing Anti-Ship Strikes A-10's, F-16's, Mosquitos and A-4C's will be doing ground attacks with the Su-25's helping with anti ship if requested JF-17's will be doing SEAD and then switching to ground strike F-15C's, J-11's and F-14's will be doing cap Helos will be split hinds and KA-50's will fly to the port to take it over (if we want to attempt this) the apaches will assist at Krymsk Weather Forecast is clear skies and a balmy 14C Flight Leads submit your flight plans to me by Friday Tythas fucked around with this message at 15:57 on Jun 30, 2022 |
