i was thinking earlyier today, "strike while the iron is hot" is total nonsense to like, everyone but a certain specific kind of nerd. npbody knows that that mean. we need to update this language, stat. pronto. immediately. so, i thought "cut while the beef is tender". right? even people who don't eat meat know that food left out gets all tough and gnarly what else

I mean "strike while the iron is hot" comes from the blacksmith trade, where you have a limited and set amount of time to mold the heated iron before it cools down too much and either you can't temper it anymore or the impurities come to light i hope this helps op
