Well, it happened. We knew as soon as it leaked it would happen. Some quick advice: - Delete ANY apps that track your ovulations or periods. Request your data be destroyed and proof of destruction if possible. - Do NOT discuss helping friends access safe abortions over anything other than end to end encrypted platforms like Signal (Whatsapp does NOT count as a safe app). Avoid apps in general if you can, talk only in person. - Request any groups that had access to data around your health to delete said data. - Do NOT talk to police if they approach you to ask about helping friends. As always: Tell them you can only talk through your attorney. Never talk to Police, period. - If you are going to a protest, do NOT take your phone. Leave information with friends about where you'll be and when you'll be back. Cover any identifying marks (tattoos, etc.) and write a safe phone number on your arm if you need a point of contact. - Do not take things like Apple Air pods, Smart Watches, Biometrics Watches (Fitbit), etc. - Reach out to your employers and get them to be clear about what they will do to protect your access to healthcare, especially gynecological healthcare. - Talk to your primary care physician. Ask them if they will help enforce anti-abortion laws. Ask them what they would do if they suspect you had an abortion or if a friend had, if they refuse to say they will report seek a new physician ASAP. Do not give money to doctors who will report. - Do not take your phone to doctors appointments if you can avoid it. This will be updated after we vet some advocate groups.
