The Al'Kabor Project A classic Everquest experience https://www.takproject.net/forums/ What is TAKP? The Al'Kabor Project was founded by the community of the original MAC server with hosting originally provided by Robregen and Cavedude from PEQ, with significant historical preservation undertaken by Torven before that server's shutdown. In the past few years the sole active developer of p99, Haynar, would go on to join the TAKP team, which would eventually translate the original Al' Kabor server aesthetic into a complete Vanilla to Planes of Power experience by 2022. Rather than the solo experience of p99, players can control up to three accounts at once, with an even further trader account allowed for four concurrent experiences allowed. https://wiki.takp.info/index.php?title=Getting_Started https://wiki.takp.info/index.php/Getting_Started_on_Windows Client Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/purr54u7v5p8ka9/TAKP%20PC%20V2.1.zip?dl=0 So, the client is rubbish for all versions and in consideration of that a workaround has been passed around. https://www82.zippyshare.com/v/shLajgRN/file.html If you are not computer literate run the old version as admin , and if you are then inject the new version. Both options should allow for mouse scroll to work in a functional fashion. Credit: New Age Soldier. Adapted fully from code publicly available since 2012 by New Age Soldier. Maybe everyone would like a good UI? https://discord.gg/uZwT3Sdy What differentiates takp from p99 and live eq? The difficulty that one finds from p99 is still inherent in TAKP, even more so with the limited options for UI forced by the client that is more restrictive than the p99 client. Despite this the game offers a much deeper option for EQ character development than its classic rivals through Alternate Advancement that works with the UI, rather than a side grade to the less classic UI that Project 2002 offers. This implementation is backed by a commitment to open sourcing when a product that the original publisher would stand behind is completed. shirunei fucked around with this message at 10:24 on Jun 25, 2022 |
