Queensland might rule but league definitely doesn't so. Go Essendon or something.

Rugby is fun to watch. Even after reading and learning the rules, I still do not understand exactly what's going on when I see it in action. As an enormous fan of American Football, it's awesome to see the many and obvious connections between the two games, and it's fascinating to learn and look back in history as to when the two games 'split' and evolved away from one another (sports history and the evolution of how sports as we play them today, and how they evolved from older games and branched off, etc is fascinating in general, and if you haven't spent time just perusing that subject, do yourself a favor and just take a couple hours some time popping around Wiki or something and do it.) I don't have enough skin in the game to know enough about the Origin Series, but from a quick glance it looks like NSW got a pretty good upset and a good thumping to boot over the Maroons, and it was pretty long in coming, so their fans gotta be pretty pumped for that.

Big Beef City posted:Rugby is fun to watch. Rugby is so much better than american football because there isn't a 10 minute break after every play so the coach can plan how the players scratch their balls or whatever.
