This is the good Ace Atorney stuff. The increasingly implausible back and forth between you, the witness, and the prosecutor, just *chef's kiss*.

And this is the point after which you no longer feel bad about all the legally suspect shenanigans that you will be engaging in. If that's how Edgeworth is going to play this, than anything goes.

24 may be a granpa by anime standards, but it's still amazing prodigy by real lawyer standards. Phoenix would have to have skipped a couple grades to have passed the bar by 24. The game is just trying to find a compromise.

Yeah, the first game doesn't really have a good sense for how to do investigation section, and resorts to warmed over adventure game tropes.

As frustrating as it is to not break Sal's alibi, do you really want to have another round of crossex with some like that?

There are a lot of issues with this case, but this twist is so good that I'm willing to ignore most of them.

I was really curious how you would put this mecha ic up to a vote, but the grid system works pretty well. You figure out pretty quicly in these games that "wait and see" is almost always an instant fail, though this update is interesting in that it's one of the few times "Present evidence" isn't the right call. mr_stibbons fucked around with this message at 04:42 on Apr 25, 2023 |

The ups and downs of this case continue. The moment to moment puzzels on day 2 are better than the first day, but they're undermined by the fact that there is no good reason for phoenix to care about exonerating Meekins.

It's a matter of degrees. Throwing around obviously baseless accusations will get you in trouble for wasting the court's time if nothing else, but if there is a plausible case for another suspect being guilty it is fair to advocate for it in court, even if the evidence is weaker than the evidence against your client.

My impression was the cops think Darke did it but don't have any hard proof. So they ask him to come into the station "to answer a few questions" hoping he kets something slip under questioning. He doesn't think they've got anything on him and comes in without a fight to not be suspicious. Then something goes down that spooks him and he attacks
