The Uragan is also less accurate and has less range than the default heavy gun. I think I'll take the new class, sniper probably. Those PURE guys sound perfectly fine, no problems to be foreseen there, none at all, let's give them a hand, I'm sure nothing bad will happen. Stealing the plane also sounds like a fun thing to do, if you think we can handle that mission.

Oh and of course, help the Disciples of Anu as a priority.

Also youtube is probably messing something up since the video is still in 360p. (Also your end of video cards towards other videos, get in the way of the research options.)

Please prioritize helping the Disciples of Anu. We need to sweet talk them for a couple of recruits at least (my own Berserker, and likely TheGreatEvilKing's psychic).

The Pure make me very nervous. On the other hand; loving with New Jericho. :D

This. Im pretty sure the only psychic class in the game is the Disciples' Priest.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure.

I'm not sure if we should be helping the Pure, I have the sense that they are still fascists, just Transhumanist fascists. I'm not sure though. On balance we should probably do this mission for them, after helping the Disciples, and try to find out more about the Pure before we come to any hard conclusions.

Certainly give off that vibe, but if so just we kick off their fight and watch them tear each other down while we Embrace Crab with the cool cultists

It's highly likely they are still fascists, but also it's going to start a little fash on fash violence and we'll get to loot and learn things.

More importantly it's a storyline we get to see.

Certainly nothing has ever gone wrong with helping a group who call themselves "the Pure."

Anyway, this is all a distraction from helping my precious Synedrion children.

It's not like we couldn't use the technology to make cyborgs ourselves, honestly.

Can we also steal the plane? I suspect late game having 2 troop squads available to scramble could be handy.

Yep. Being able to trade will be good, and so is advancing the story a bit

Maybe we should do the research on our allies, Synedrion and the Disciples? Either before of after we research Trade and the archives.

I've been sitting here for 5 mins trying to think of a joke to make but I just realised the animators of Mass Effect already did it for me

I am a bit unclear on why the mission in 3a ended when it did. There seemed to be at least one enemy left. Did you kill enough for them to give up or what?

Today we try to save the Disciples base, help THE PURE, and then see about taking out a newly discovered nest of Pandorans!

We also welcome anilEhilated to the pack, who now has the hard descision of wheather they want to go out on missions without armour!

We need a new base module = I suggest either a third research facility or another manufactory.

Talking of research, we have a whole laod of new options, and you can see our new research facility has really knocked the times down - pretty much halving the time taken!

We can recruit two more people - their both heavys, so not many options, and it will take a long time to get them weapons and armour, but they are there if people want me to use the human wave tactics!

Finally we have mission options - Synedrian want to give us an aircraft, we could steal a second one off New Jerico, we could go have a look at the Symes Retreat or we could generally go exploring.

Lots of good choices!

Very minor thing, but there's an untapped "?" point in north-west Spain just on the cusp of the red (which I assume is the Pandoran infection and can't be rolled back?) that you should probably grab before it's lost.

I see no reason to refuse that present aircraft from Synedrion.

I think that deploying people without armor is probably a bad idea.

That's an interesting point, will the Red stop spreading or retreat with the Nest destroyed? Or are that question mark in Galicia and the broken shield icon in the mountains of Morocco time critical to get to before they are consumed?

Also Serpentis, yopu wanted to be a Heavy back on the first page. Do either of the two Heavy Recruits left appeal to you?

After our last tangle with New Jericho, we shouldn't go near them until every team member we are sending has armor. The Gift looks interesting, but has a pretty generous time limit. There is the plot mission as well.

Good catch, I'd completely forgotten that - Grey, if I'm up, I'd prefer the Heavy recruit with Healer and Self Defence Specialist of the two if preference is allowed. (I think her name was D. Gutierrez? The one in the image of your last post?)

I think the broken shield in Morocco is a haven? So it might be something that needs regular defending rather than a visit and done job (admittedly can't remember if Grey's already covered that).

More generally, I wonder if New Jericho's own armour might be a good thing to scavenge / loot if possible. Seemed to have a good bunch of armour plating whenever Grey was aiming at it.

Base upgrade: I'd suggest the Manufactory, if we're getting a few more Heavies we'll need armour/guns for them and this will speed up the making of said armour.

Research: times are looking pretty speedy, my vote is to knock out all the low-hanging fruit we can. Start with the factions, then the quicker autopsies, then the grenade launcher and Iron Fury HG, then the slower autopsies, then what you will.

Missions: heal up, get that new aircraft, then explore. Symes's compound can wait a video.

Agreed with all of this. We already have 2 labs and are low on stuff like armor so manufactory is needed badly. New aircraft would be good to get a second squad out exploring asap

Make a manufactory so we have fewer naked soldiers, research the factions because I’m curious about them, and take the gift aircraft because it’s free so why not?

Send in everyone in armor. Anyone without armor dies first time they take a hit. Which also panics everyone else in the squad. This alas isn't X-COM baby, you don't have unending groups of Rookies to send into combat or a deep bench.

We get our new plane, then go find what happened to the boss.

We have a few more skill ups, a bit more research and some mission choices.

Northing is on a timer, but heading south would get us a new plane, while there is a new base north - there is nothing saying I can't go one after the other, but what should I am for first?

Probably good to toss on the Synedrion sniper rifle to the research queue, and possibly the aerial combat research as well.

Once we have fulls armor suits for everyone on the first squad then stealing New Jericho's armor research sounds fun.

GunnerJ

Do you think this is funny?
I haven't played this game so maybe I'm way off, but it looks like the reason your snipers are underwhelming comes down to the weird fact that sniper rifle aiming reticules are about the same size as assault rifle reticules, but they only fire once to an assault rifle's six shot burst. So when you try to go for headshots with snipers, you guarantee that their one shot is most likely to hit nothing because typically a reticule centered on an enemy head has mostly nothing in the broader firing circle. Soldiers with assault rifles have a better chance to hit something just because they're firing more shots.

So for the snipers to be more effective they need either some way to reduce their reticule size, or they need to be trying for body shots rather than headshots. It's overall very weird that sniper rifles don't have smaller aiming reticules by default though, shouldn't they be inherently more precise?
