Danann posted:are microdistricts the meta in workers and resources soviet republic? the game basically trains you to build microdistricts - your first town will be a cluster of services and a bus station with apartment blocks around it within walking distance, with more housing built as improved roads increase walking distance. then when it's done you build and expand another self-contained block on the other side of the perimeter road. no one has personal cars unless you specifically import or manufacture cars and let citizens buy them, so everyone ends up designing walkable districts by default.
