Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" came up for me on shuffle a few minutes ago and I thought, 'This is one of the best Beatles songs the Beatles never made.' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDOL7iY8kfo Since the Beatles were so massively popular and hugely influential, there are many, many great songs that fit in this mini-genre. One could argue that entire genres like 'power pop' and 'chamber pop' are little else but euphemisms for Beatle-esque pop-rock. But I never get tired of hearing another good one, seemingly. The Chemical Brothers have a lot of tracks that are similar to in style to the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHNbHn3i9S4 Especially Let Forever Be which is so similar that it's practically a cover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5FyfQDO5g0 They're very open about this; many of their concerts start off with some form of "Relax your mind and float downstream" from Tomorrow Never Knows.
